About Me

Hey, I’m Gerard, thank you so much for dropping by. I hope you find some information here that helps calibrate your path on this journey we call life.

I like to think my website is a little unique because there’s no fluff here (and if you find some, please drop me a line and kick my ass). First up, I don’t pretend to be anything other than an ordinary person stumbling through life’s absurdities just like everyone else. I have no fancy titles, no mystical wisdom, just me, chasing clarity amidst my chaos and trying to make sense of the paradoxes life insists on throwing at me and hopefully helping an agitated soul or two along the way. That's what twirls my beany.

A Writing Journey Full of Twists, Turns, and Eye Rolls

Let’s get one thing straight: I write because life is ridiculous. It’s messy, confusing, and sometimes so absurd I have to laugh just to stay sane. As I’m stumbling along my journey and I trip over a paradox—one of those maddening contradictions that refuse to fit neatly into logic—I don’t let it slide. I chase it down, poke at it, wrestle with it, and eventually, I write about it.

Pearls Amidst the Paradoxes

That’s how my book series Pearls Amidst the Paradoxes came to be. It’s a series of books devoted to uncovering the wisdom buried in life’s contradictions. You know, like the joy tucked inside sorrow or the confidence hidden beneath crippling self-doubt. So, my approach is, rather than spoon-feed you self-help fluff, I dive into the tension of my own paradoxical experiences, pull it apart, and, if I'm lucky, expose some pearls of wisdom along the way and channel them into my books.

If that sounds intriguing (or if you just love a good paradoxical rant), you’ll find reference links here to explore the series further.

Why I Write (Hint: It’s Not for the Fame and Fortune)

Life doesn’t come with an instruction manual. Nobody has it figured out. But through shared stories, hard-earned lessons, and the occasional frustrated rant (did I say occasional?), we carve out a little more understanding, a little more clarity, and maybe even a little more humour along the way that encourages us to want to keep trying to understand why we are here.

So, if you’re visiting for deep conversations, unconventional wisdom, or just to poke around the paradoxes with me, welcome! I’m thrilled you stopped by. Let’s embrace the contradictions, find the pearls, and make sense of the madness—one chapter at a time.

Gallery

Coming Soon (maybe)

I'm threatening to upload a gallery of very unflattering (unlike my A.I. generated counterparts riddled across this digital landscape) pictures that portray my creative journey from student of the arts, to musician, to entrepreneur, to wannabe philosopher and finally to the author I am aspiring to be.

Watch this space and may God give me strength!
